Maximising leadership alignment

Leadership

Almost every large organisation holds annual leadership meetings, where a group of people are gathered to review past performance, share knowledge and set future targets.

The intention is usually to reinforce alignment to the organisation's direction and goals by delivering presentations and cascading important communication messages.

Most leaders appreciate the opportunity to be inspired, network, and engage with colleagues.

However, many leadership meetings fail to deliver on these expectations and generally lack opportunities for attendees to exchange knowledge, discover new perspectives and to allow for sensemaking and they leave little room for involvement, dialogue and interaction.

We believe the key to successful leadership meetings is to better balance format and content, and to challenge the conventional meeting process.
